Nurses and Midwives

The Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS) and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) provide excellent care to women and infants with health needs ranging from extremely complex to trouble free, and offer challenging and interesting employment to our nursing and midwifery staff. Employment may be full-time, part-time, fixed term or casual.

For suitably qualified applicants, positions may be available in the following areas:

Midwives

  • Antenatal clinics, Labour and Birth Suite, antenatal/postnatal wards, Visiting Midwifery Service, Emergency Centre, Adult Special Care Unit, Family Birth Centre and Team midwifery.
  • Most midwives will be placed on our rotation program, which allows them to maintain their skills in all the main midwifery areas.

Nurses and Midwives

  • Operating theatres, Day Surgery Unit, Special Care Nurseries, outpatient clinics and the gynaecology and oncology ward.
