Patient First - Customer Service Unit
The Patient First program is a new Department of Health initiative aimed at enhancing consumer participation in health care.
The key messages of Patient First are included in a comprehensive booklet. The booklet contains 14 topics that will educate patients about how to be involved in all aspects of their health care. These topics include:
- hand hygiene
- safe use of medications
- knowing your rights and responsibilities
- safe surgery
