Part of the WA Department of Health. Coordinates treatment, prevention, education and research activities.

Ishar Multicultural Centre for Women's Health
Provides many services for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in the Perth metro area. These include a mental health counselling service, and a support and skills development program for those from a CALD community who are caring for someone with a mental illness.

Ngala Early Parenting Centre
Ngala provides support and education to parents and families. Has a parenting helpline for country callers (1800 111 546) as well as metro callers (9368 9368), 7 days a week, 8am-8pm.

Postnatal Depression Support Association
Provides support and education to women and families affected by stress and depression in the perinatal period.

Raphael Centre, St John of God Hospital, Subiaco
Facilitates support and treatment groups for women and their families affected by perinatal anxiety or depression. Also provides psychiatric advice, referral information and education for health professionals.

Western Australian Association for Mental Health
The peak body in WA representing non-government mental health agencies.

A not-for-profit organisation that provides support and counselling to parents and caregivers of premature babies.

Australian Association for Infant Mental Health
A professional organisation for those who work with infants and their families.

Australian Multiple Birth Association
A support association for families with multiple births. Local clubs meet regularly for social functions, workshops and to share resources.

Beyondblue, the National Depression Initiative – Postnatal Depression
Information on PND from Beyondblue, an independent, not-for-profit organisation that raises awareness of mental health issues in Australia.

Black Dog Institute
A specialist facility at the Prince of Wales Hospital in NSW, which assists GPs treating people with mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder. Conducts research, provides training and develops resources.

Federal Department of Health and Ageing - Mental Health
Information on national mental health initiatives and policies.

Good Beginnings
A national not-for-profit organisation providing early intervention programs for children, families and communities, to ensure that each child has a ‘good beginning’.

Multicultural Mental Health Australia
Coordinates nationwide support services, treatment and prevention programs for CALD communities in the field of mental health. Also provides resources and training for health professionals. Funded by the federal Department of Health and Ageing.

Raising Children Network
Guidance and information for parents of children aged zero to eight.

SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support Society)
Based in Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Australia
Aims to eliminate sudden infant deaths through education, research, intervention and advocacy. State-based member organisations provide support to families during bereavement.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA)
Information for members of the public and health professionals on breastfeeding. Provides classes and telephone counselling for new mothers.

The Marcé Society, Australasian Branch
An international society for the understanding, prevention and treatment of mental illness related to childbearing.

A non-government organisation promoting awareness of mental health issues in NSW, particularly anxiety disorders.

Mental Health Foundation of Australia (Victoria)
Organisation of health professionals and members of the public, dedicated to raising awareness of mental illness, providing support for sufferers, and promoting research and collaboration.

Parenting and Child Health
A resource for parents and caregivers on health and development in childhood. Produced by the Children, Youth and Women's Health Service, part of the South Australian Government.

Post and Antenatal Depression Association Inc (Panda)
Provides information, support and referral to those affected by depression throughout the perinatal period. Based in Victoria.

South Australian Department of Health - Pregnancy Information
Information on staying healthy before, during and after pregnancy.
