Reproductive Medicine Clinic

The Reproductive Medicine Clinic at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) is a publicly funded fertility clinic providing assessment and treatment for individuals and couples experiencing fertility issues.

If you wish to be referred to this clinic you must obtain a referral from your general practitioner (GP) with all relevant information, including:

  • Name, age and date of birth.
  • Partner’s name and their date of birth. If you are being referred as a single person, the referral should state this.
  • Any special needs.

To access reproductive services at KEMH, women and couples must meet certain eligibility criteria that may include age, Body Mass Index, the number of previous children and the type of fertility treatment needed.

Referral for IVF treatment

The Reproductive Medicine Clinic at KEMH does not provide egg or sperm donation treatment, surrogacy or pre-implantation genetic diagnosis or pre-implantation genetic screening.

Women over the age of 35 years or who have a child from their current relationship are unable to access public funding for IVF treatment.”
