KEMH supports Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day at KEMH
August 9, 2019

In acknowledgement of Red Nose Day and those families who have experienced the loss of their baby/babies, King Edward Memorial Hospital is sporting a red nose or two.

We are incredibly proud of our Perinatal Loss Service (PLS) which was established to provide information and ongoing support to women and their families following the loss of their baby/babies.

The KEMH PLS compromises of Obstetricians, Midwives, Paediatricians, Pastoral Care, Social Workers, Perinatal Pathologists and Psychologists.

Our Pastoral Care Team are always available to inpatients in cases of emergency and bereavement and regular services are held for families experiencing loss.

Pastoral Care, also known as Chaplaincy, is an integrated part of care at King Edward Memorial Hospital. Our Chaplains are available to listen, support and help reflect on what is happening, to offer the church’s ministry and resources, and to offer spiritual guidance or counselling.

More information about Safe Infant Sleeping is available in our Pregnancy Birth and your Baby book or online at rednose.com.au
