GP Shared Antenatal Care

GP shared antenatal care means that a woman's pregnancy care is shared between King Edward Memorial Hospital and a General Practitioner.

Shared antenatal care is a popular option of care for healthy women with a normal pregnancy.

Shared Antenatal Care GPs and hospital-based doctors and midwives act as a team in the provision of a woman's antenatal care.

All antenatal care visits and findings are recorded in the woman’s Hand Held Pregnancy Record.
