Outpatients during COVID-19

We have made significant changes to the way we carryout outpatient appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those outpatients who need to come to the hospital for appointments are strongly advised they may bring only one adult person to their appointment. Where possible, coming alone is preferred.

Please note the ultrasound department do now allow any visitors during their ultrasound appointments.

Children under 16 must not attend the hospital. Please discuss any exceptional circumstances with staff for consideration.

We understand that these changes could be frustrating, however, these decisions are always made with the wellbeing of the patients and staff in mind and we ask for your understanding. For more information about Outpatients Clinics.

Many of our outpatient clinics are already providing telephone consultations or telehealth consultations. In addition, if you are in the early stages of pregnancy and would like to reduce the amount of time you spend in clinics at KEMH, consider GP Shared Care with a local GP  or alternatively, contact our Community Midwifery Program for an update on availabilty.

If you have concerns about coming into clinic, please call our Clinic Manager on 6458 2222 to see if you qualify for an alternative method.
