Your Voice - Community Advisory Council

  • Are you interested in women's health?
  • Would you like to have a say in how King Edward Memorial Hospital is run?
  • Do you have some ideas about how the Hospital could do things differently?

Then we would love to hear from you!

KEMH is currently looking for volunteers for our

Community Advisory Council (CAC)

The CAC meets every six weeks and has the opportunity to provide input into the way the hospital operates. Volunteers are paid a sitting fee for their attendance at meetings.

Feedback from the CAC goes directly to the hospital's Executive department for consideration.

Over the years, the CAC has been successful in initiating the following:

  • Creation of the Patient Advocate position at KEMH.
  • Identifying key consumer issues around women's safety.
  • Ensuring that people with a disability can access all areas and facilities at KEMH.
  • Improvements to road safety for pedestrians on access roads to KEMH.

If you are interested in applying or would like more information, please contact the Customer Services Manager on +61 8 6458 1444.
