Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day Remembrance Service

October 3, 2019

On Tuesday 15 October staff at King Edward Memorial Hospital will acknowledge the annual Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day with a Service held in the KEMH Memorial Rose Garden.

This year, the service will also acknowledge the anniversary of the Memorial Garden, which opened in 1989 as a site to inter the ashes of babies stillborn before 28 weeks gestation, and as a special place for bereaved families to visit and remember their loved ones.

The local community are invited into the garden to join us at 11.30am on Tuesday 15 October, for the reflective service.

International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day (PILD), marks a special day for parents and families across Australia to honour their babies who passed away from miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death.
