Patients and Visitors
King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) is Western Australia’s only tertiary maternity and gynaecological hospital and is the State’s only major referral centre for high-risk pregnancies. Since treating its first patients in 1916, today more than 6000 births take place here every year. The hospital also has a state-of-the-art special care nursery, designed to care for premature and sick infants.
Annually, KEMH also cares for around 5000 women with gynaecological conditions ranging from neurological and cancer-related problems to sexually transmitted diseases and reproductive disorders.
With dedicated staff and best practices based on the most current evidence-based medicine, KEMH delivers first-class health care to women and infants in WA.
