Congratulations Dr Emma Allanson
Congratulations to Dr Emma Allanson who recently won two international awards in her line of work.
Emma was awarded the Early Career Investigator Award for the Gynaecologic Cancer InterGroup (GCIG) Endometrial Cancer Consensus Conference - Clinical Research (ECCC-CR). The process was internationally competitive and awarded to four early career researchers in gynaecologic oncology in the world.
During the nomination process, the ECCC-CR executive remarked the number of very strong applications from a range of specialties.
Emma was given the opportunity to participate in the consensus conference earlier this month in Seoul, and contributed to the development of guidelines on the conduct of endometrial cancer trials.
Emma said it was a great learning and she looks forward to being able to put the consensus into practice at King Edward Memorial Hospital with an upcoming endometrial cancer trial to ensure our hospital is one of the centres for excellence in the gynaecologic oncology world.
She was also recently awarded a top 10 reviewer for the International Journal of Gynaecological Cancer.
Congratulations Emma, this is an amazing achievement and we look forward to hearing about the progress of the upcoming trial.
