Professional nursing and midwifery registration requirements

Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) is a requirement for employment at KEMH as a nurse or midwife.

To establish whether you will be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in Australia you should contact the NMBA (external site) directly.

Overseas applicants must obtain NMBA registration prior to a visa being approved by the Department of Immigration.
