Health Promotion

Health Promotion

The EMHS Health Promotion Plan 2022 – 2027 (pdf), Towards Health Promotion Excellence, (our Plan) guides the way we improve health behaviours and outcomes of target populations in our catchment. Our focus is:

  • Increasing physical activity
  • Improving access to and consumption of nutritious food and drink
  • Preventing and minimising harm from alcohol use
  • Reducing tobacco and e-cigarette use

EMHS Health Promotion Evidence in Context Paper (pdf) summarises the health promotion context and key concepts underpinning our Plan.

Our Plan aligns with the Western Australian Health Promotion Strategic Framework 2022 – 2026 (pdf) (the Framework). The Framework is the guiding policy document for Health Promotion across the State’s health system. The Framework identifies a set of guiding principles and priority areas to improve the health and wellbeing of the Western Australian population.
